Ogden Newspapers 20K Run & Walk
The Ogden Newspapers 20K Classic Run will start at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday May 23rd. The Walk will start at 7:30 a.m. This challenging course is well known for its changes in elevation. The 20K Run will have prize categories (for male and female) of Open, Masters and 2-person relays (male/male, male/female, female/female) as well as age group categories. Participants receive a race towel, bottled water and fresh fruit. Pre-registered participants are guaranteed a T-shirt.

Ogden Newspapers 5K Run / Walk
8:15 a.m. The 5K Run/Walk prizes include Open and age group categories. Participants receive a race towel, bottled water and fresh fruit. Pre-registered participants are guaranteed a T-shirt.

Torch Relay
Honoring US Armed Forces both past and present. Begins at 4 p.m. in Elm Grove and traverses the last 6 miles of the 20K course. Click Here for more info.

Ogden Tiny Tot Trot
Sponsored by: Ohio Valley Parent Magazine
6:45 p.m., Under the Wesbanco Skywalk, Ages 5 & under, 4 & 5 year olds race first, followed by 3 & under. No entry fee, Registration is 5:00pm - 6:30pm at Event. All entrants will receive finish award ribbon. Course is the last 100 yards 20K Finish

Ogden Fun Run
7:15 p.m., Top of Wheeling Hill, a one mile noncompetitive downhill event. $7.00 entry fee includes T- shirt & finish award ribbon. Parents are encouraged to run with their children at no cost, or pay the $5 fee and receive a T-shirt.

Ogden Mile
7:30 p.m., Top of Wheeling Hill, Fastest mile in America...Course record...3:39:82 (2003) Pre-registered participants are guaranteed a T-shirt. Winners will be announced immediately after the race at the finish line. Prize money and certificates will be mailed after verification to the top male and female winners as follows: 1st: $75; 2nd: $50; 3rd: $25.

Masters Mile
7:30 p.m., Top of Wheeling Hill, Pre-registered participants are guaranteed a T-shirt. Winners will be announced immediately after the race at the finish line. Prize money and certificates will be mailed after verification to the top male and female winners as follows: 1st: $75; 2nd: $50; 3rd: $25

Transportation:
Will be provided from the Arena to the top of Wheeling Hill for the start of the 1 mile events. Buses will begin at 5:45 p.m.

General Race Information:

Water Stops
The Ogden 20K has 10 aid stations serving water, ice & electrolytes, starting at the 1 1 ⁄ 2 mile mark. Health Care Professionals will be located at general places along the course. The 5K race will also have 2 aid stations.

Packet Pick-Up:
Packets for pre-registered participants may be picked up in front of the WesBanco Arena beginning Friday, May 22 at 5:00 p.m. till 9:00 p.m. & Saturday 6 a.m. to race time.

T-shirts will be in packet for pre-registered participants, and will only be held until 9:00 a.m. on May 23, 2009. Sizes and quantities are limited.

Shower facilities available at YMCA, & CentreTown Fitness.

( Athletes accepting prize money while in high school or college will jeopardize eligibility. Those not accepting prize money may call Kathy Fugate at 304-233-0100 ext. 256 after the race to make arrangements.)

Race Timing
To confirm race time, all race participants must wear a timing chip on a shoe.
